Ambassador (Intern) Programs
We have the best Ambassadors in the world. These leaders are driven, empathetic change agents who work to enhance the world through impactful action. Their work is the glue that connects our members around the world. An exceptional opportunity designed in partnership with numerous HBCU social work programs, the Ambassadors Program provides outstanding opportunities for students.
Whether students are pursuing their BSW or MSW degrees, our program offers an extensive and enriching experience. Our program emphasizes practical learning and provides weekly supervision and tasks aligned with students' academic needs. We strive to ensure that students gain a deep understanding of the NASW Code of Ethics, which serves as a guiding framework for the social work profession. During the program, Ambassadors learn how to apply the code of ethics in real-life scenarios, which fosters a deeper understanding of ethical decision-making.
Our students participate in team meetings where they learn about macro theories, fundraising strategies, program evaluation techniques, policy development, and how we meet the diverse needs of our nonprofit partners. The exposure to various aspects of social work prepares Ambassadors for the challenges they may encounter in their future careers and enables them to develop well-rounded skills.
Students who join the Ambassadors Program join a supportive community that values their growth and development. As a collaborative and mentorship-driven organization, we strive to provide a supportive educational experience that extends beyond the classroom, empowering students to make a meaningful impact within their communities.
